Adopted Ordinance No. 1886, amending Sections 19.44.040(B)(1) and 19.44.120 of the Pleasanton Municipal Code waiving the in-lieu park dedication fees for second units, nursing homes, and senior care/assisted living facilities. Approved plans and specifications for resurfacing of various City streets, Project No. 025003RS, reviewed bids, and awarded a construction contract to DeSilva Gates Construction LP for a low bid of $1,189,679; authorized the City Manager to enter into the contract; authorized the Director of Public Works to approve and execute contract change orders for a contingency amount not to exceed $238,000 (20% of construction bid), if necessary, for related subject project work; and authorized the Finance Department to transfer $153,000 from CIP No. 035003 ("Resurfacing of Various City Streets For FY 2003/04") to the subject project when funding becomes available in July 1, 2003 to fund a portion of the subject project construction contingency as needed. (SR 03:169) Approved plans and specifications for abutment removal at the Bemal Bridge at Arroyo de la Laguna, Project No. 935045, reviewed bids, and awarded a construction contract to R.M. Harris and Company, Inc.; approved a professional services contract with Peoples and Associates for construction support services for an amount not to exceed $12,080; authorized the City Manager to enter into the above contracts subject to the approval of the 2003-04 CIP budget; and authorized the Director of Public Works to approve and execute contract change orders for a contingency amount not to exceed $47,500 for necessary related project work. (SR 03:171) Approved the consultant contract with Bellecci and Associates, Inc. for an amount not to exceed $138,210 for design of underground utility service connections and street lighting improvements along First Street and Kottinger Drive (Underground Utility District UUD 02-01), Project No. 025071; authorized the City Manager to execute the contract contingent upon approval of the FY 2003-04 CIP Budget; and authorized the City Manager to execute contract amendments up to 20% of the original contract amount.
