The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Counciimembers - Ayala, Brozosky, Campbell, Hosterman, and Mayor Pico <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: Councilmember Brozosky on item 4h* <br /> <br />*Mr. Brozosky inadvertently neglected to abstain from voting on item 4h during the meeting. <br />However he did discuss this with the City Manager immediately after the meeting and this will <br />be noted in public at the next Council meeting. <br /> <br />5. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Jeremy Poryes (shadow to Mr. Brozosky) read the commendation for the Pleasanton Fury <br />Soccer Team. Jen Tiefenthaler (shadow for Jim Wolfe) introduced Coach John Finnegan, who <br />called up the team members present at the meeting. He described the soccer program for under <br />19 girls and expressed his appreciation for the great fields in Pleasanton. Mr. Poryes and Mr. <br />Brozosky presented commendations to the coach and members of the Pleasanton Fury Soccer <br />Team for winning the Northern California Tide Cup. <br /> <br />Natalie Bricker (shadow for Ms. Ayala) read the commendation for Wal-Mart. <br /> <br /> Aaron Evans, Store Manager, expressed his appreciation for the recognition. He looked <br />forward to continuing to be part of the community and contributing even more. <br /> <br /> Gordon Galvin, Government Relations Representative for Pacific Gas and Electric, <br />presented a check to the City in the sum of $488,965.00, representing PG&E's contribution to <br />the Vineyard Corridor infrastructure. This is the result of long hours of negotiation and creative <br />solutions to several problems. He was aware of the history of this project and the stress and <br />concern of the citizens. He hoped the contribution would signify the spirit of cooperation and <br />partnership between Pleasanton and PG&E for the future. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pico expressed his appreciation for the goodwill gesture of PG&E and its <br />willingness to work with the City to find win/win solutions. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala referred to the 60kv line on Old Vineyard Avenue, and inquired if it would be <br />removed once the new 230kv line is installed? <br /> <br />Mr. Galvin indicated that could be discussed. <br /> <br /> Ms. Acosta introduced Julie Farnsworth, the new Director of Library Services.
