Adopt Resolution No. 03-012, declaring that weeds, rubbish, or refuse upon or in front of
certain described properties within the City of Pleasanton constitute public nuisances and
that they be abated, and setting a public hearing regarding the abatement.. (SR 03:061)

Accepted improvements for office remodel of 157 Main Street, CIP 988048; authorized
the City Clerk to file a Notice of Completion for the subject project; authorized final
payment to T.G.K. Contracting, Inc. in the amount of $14,706.90; and authorized
payment of the retention in the amount of $22,155.70 to T.G.K. Contracting, Inc. thirty
days after filing the Notice of Completion. (SR 03:059)

Adopted Resolution No. 03-013, naming a City street on the Bemal property "Tulancingo
Bulevar" in commemoration of Pleasanton's 20-year association with its Sister City
Tulancingo. (SR 03:056)

Mr. Brozosky was concerned that people from out of town would be confused if the
recommended "Bulevar Tulancingo" was chosen for the street name. He preferred that
Tulancingo be first. There was consensus on Council to do that.

Marlene Rebello, 10579 Foothill Road, Sunol, President of the Tulancingo Sister City
Association, thanked Council for naming a street in honor of the 20-year anniversary.
She was not concerned that "Tulancingo Bulevar" was not grammatical in Spanish, she
was grateful for the honor, which is the more important point.

Adopted Resolution No. 03-014, in support of the California Wild Heritage Act of 2002.
(SR 03:063)

Norullah Sharifi (shadow for Ms. Hosterman at this meeting) requested the City Attorney
to comment on this item.

Mariya Kupershmidt (shadow for Mr. Roush) explained Senate Bill 2535, the Califomia
Wild Heritage Act of 2002.

Mr. Brozosky commented that he would prefer that the Council not get in the habit of
voting on legislation like this which is not within the sphere of influence of the City. He
was not comfortable voting for things about which he was not fully informed. He did
take some time to research this and noted this will cost $39 million a year. That is not a
lot of money for the federal government, although more and more programs are added
like this without deleting any. He was serious about his vote and did not like to vote on
something without adequate information. He preferred to spend his time researching city
issues.

Adopted Ordinance No. 1877, approving the application of McCurdy/Arola.

Approved the procurement process for the purchase of a Type I Fire Pumper
Replacement.
