Study (SR 03:024) <br /> <br />Wayne Rasmussen presented the staff reports. <br /> <br /> Ms, Ayala asked if the reason for studying these alternatives was to gain support of the <br />neighborhood in Happy Valley for another alternative road? <br /> <br /> Mr. Rasmussen said when the Planning Commission considered the tentative map for the <br />golf course, there was a lot of neighborhood input about the fact that the bypass road was still <br />undecided and they wanted to determine once and for all if the route in the Specific Plan was <br />viable. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala asked if any alternatives, other than the one in the Specific Plan, were <br />supported by the residents? <br /> <br /> Mr. Rasmussen said most of the residents appear to support the route in the Specific Plan. <br />The only other alternative that received some support was Alternative 2, which goes to Highway <br />84. <br /> <br />Ms. Ayala asked if any of these alternatives were studied in previous EIRs? <br /> <br /> Mr. Rasmussen said they were studied in 1996 in a study done the by the City staff. A <br />number were in the draft EIR in more detail but some of them were eliminated early on. <br /> <br /> Ms. Hosterman said if Alternative 1 were chosen, there would be another neighborhood <br />created by the Spotomo development. She asked how the Happy Valley residents felt about the <br />impact from the new neighborhood? <br /> <br /> Mr. Rasmussen indicated the Specific Plan would allow 16 units (one home per two <br />acres) on the flat portion of the Spotorno property, with a potential density bonus of an additional <br />six homes (one home per one and a half acres) ifa conservation easement for his other 100 acres <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 6 01/21/03 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
