Beatrice Nolan, 1027 Rose Avenue, asked for Council approval. She noted the new
owners would be fixing up the home and it would be an asset to the community.

There were no further speakers, and the public hearing was closed.

It was moved by Ms. Ayala, seconded by Mr. Campbell, to introduce Ordinance No.
1874, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, approving Case PUD-19,
the subdivision of an existing lot into two lots, each with an existing home, subject to the
conditions of approval.

The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Brozosky, Campbell, Hosterman, and Mayor Pico
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

Item 6e
Review of the Conditional Use Permit (UP-94-20) for 4555 Hopyard Road, Suite C-19,
formerly operated as the Cadillac Ranch and the Marque Club

This item was continued to January 21, 2003.

Item 6f
PUD-97-12-3M, New Cities Development Group
Application for a modification to PUD-97-12 (Sycamore Heights) to extend the PUD
development plan approval to May 1, 2003.

This item was continued to January 21, 2003.

7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL

(1) Mr. Brozosky briefly related issues regarding the Kottinger Creek area. He wanted
Council to direct staff to proceed with this project. He felt it was to be a wetlands area with only
creek restoration. He did not want plans on other park improvements. He urged staff to prepare
a creek restoration plan and maintenance manual and training for the parks maintenance crews.
They do an excellent job with parks but he did not think they had experience with creeks. He
suggested working with Zone 7.

Ms. Hosterman felt that was a great idea and that pattern could be used in reviewing other
creeks throughout town. It would be a valuable tool.

Mayor Pico said Council cannot discuss this item.

PIeasanton City Council 12 12/17/02
Minutes
