Ms. Michelotti asked how many employees will be coming to work in the first buildings? <br /> <br /> Mr. Mantoani said Building D (the first building) will contain 200 employees and should <br />be completed in April 2003. The next building (Building C) will have approximately 300 people <br />and should be completed in September 2003. <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell thanked him and Applied Biosystems for being such good neighbors and <br />playing an active role in the community. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis felt it was noteworthy that the hotline was not used during all the demolition. <br />She also complimented the neighborhood for its tolerance. She believed getting the job done <br />quickly will minimize any further impacts. <br /> <br />Mr. Pico asked who answered the hotline and whether it was a voice mail or real person. <br /> <br /> Mr. Mantoani said there were people at the site who would answer the telephone. If <br />necessary, he would be willing to give his home phone number. <br /> <br />Mr. Pico asked if Applied Biosystems was willing to give access to the lake area yet. <br /> <br />Mr. Mantoani said for the same reasons stated before that was not possible. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico asked if Applied Biosystems would be willing to contribute to the costs for <br />pumping water into Arroyo del Valle. <br /> <br />Mr. Mantoani said he would be happy to discuss that with staff. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Dennis, to introduce Ordinance <br />No. 1865, approving the application of Applied Biosystems for a major modification to a <br />Planned Unit Development approval, as f'ded under case PUD-98-07-2M, regarding <br />extended hours of construction. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Campbell, Dennis, Michelotti, and Mayor Pico <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />7. MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> Mayor Pico referred to the policy that any elected official running for reelection should <br />not participate the Mayor's Report on television.
