He explained that on the Saturday after Thanksgiving there <br />was a major fire at the Vallejo warehouse and over 600,000 pairs of glasses were <br />damaged or destroyed. This means there was no supply of glasses for the scheduled trips <br />to places like Mexico, Lithuania, Bosnia, Palestine, Peru, Ecuador, Sri Lanka, Morocco, <br />etc. Raley's heard of this and donated over 20,000 pairs of glasses from the stores in the <br />Raley's/Nob Hill chain. He related a couple of incidents of how glasses can change the <br />lives of the people. <br /> <br />Hank Paxson, Director of the Pleasanton Raley's, accepted the Commendation and <br />thanked Council. <br /> <br />Approved an Agreement with e21 corp to design and develop a new City of Pleasanton <br />Web Page.
