government affects the citizens more than the federal government. It was interesting to see how much the city employees do for the community. Michael Avrukina expressed appreciation for all the work in preparing this program and hosting the students. It was interesting to see how much work goes into providing a safe community and a reliable government that meets the needs and demands of the citizens. Ms. McKeehan thanked the students and appreciated the quality of the students in the School District. These young people have confidence and she appreciated their willingness to shadow City and School District employees. The City Manager shadow, Shasta Alverson, said she was fortunate to participate in the program and to learn what the City Manager and other city officials do for the community. Ms. Ayala said her shadow was Sunaina Gyani from Foothill High School. She was a very smart young lady and gave Ms. Ayala some good ideas. She could not attend this evening due to another commitment. Mayor Pico thanked them all for participating in the program. 2. ROLL CALL City Clerk Peggy Ezidro called the roll, which is recorded as follows: Councilmembers present were Kay Ayala, Matt Campbell, Becky Dennis, Sharrell Michelotti, and Mayor Tom Pico. Lum, Director of Public Works; Wayne Rasmussen, Principal Planner; Jerry Iserson, Principal Planner; and James W. Wolfe, Director of Parks and Community Services. Mrs. Nacamu and her third grade class from Vintage Hills Elementary School sang the City song, "Pleasanton Our Community". 3.
