Mr. Swift responded that there is a large range of lot sizes and density in that area <br />and described the existing homes. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti inquired about the lots in the Avila development in Hacienda <br />Business Park. <br /> <br />Mr. Swirl said they were bout 2,500 sq. fi. lots. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala estimated that the proposed 15,000 sq. ft. lots would probably have <br />million dollar homes built on them. <br /> <br /> Ms. Hardy further indicated that Option D would have 15,000 sq. ft. lots next to <br />the homes on Maple Leaf Drive in response to neighborhood concerns about a school site <br />adjoining their property. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pico suggested the Councilmembers present their concerns and poims of <br />interest. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala supported the school site option, trails, E1 Charro connection from 580 <br />to Stanley Boulevard and she wanted houses in all price ranges from entry level on up. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis was interested in hearing what the people thought about the <br />circulation issues versus housing density issues and the E1 Charro connection. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti was concerned about traffic circulation: Stoneridge Drive to El <br />Charro, and E1 Charro to Stanley. She wanted to address densities and how that relates to <br />providing affordability; the school site and access to the site. ~ She felt Option D took care <br />of that) <br /> <br /> Mr. Campbell indicated he was interested in discussing affordable housing, cut- <br />through traffic, circulation issues and how to incorporate this plan into the greater <br />Pleasanton community. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pico's points of interest were traffic circulation; how this project fits in <br />with other potential projects on the Hansen and Staples property; and finding a project <br />that works for the neighborhood that will have to live with it and the traffic. He also <br />shared the concerns mentioned by his colleagues about affordable housing. <br /> <br />3. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Pat Belding, 7703 Highland Oaks Drive, speaking for the Interfaith Poverty <br />Forum, which has been advocating for affordable housing in Pleasanton. She referred to <br />the growing need for affordable housing and did not feel there was enough in the <br />proposed plan. She felt this was one of the last locations for pla~ing for moderate, low <br />and very low income families.
