PUBLIC HEARINGS AND OTHER MATTERS Item 6a PUD-08~ Tom and Tracey Miller and Greg and Kathy Thompson Application for Planned Unit Development (PUD) development plan approval to subdivide a 1.9-acre parcel into two single-family custom home lots located at 2562 Vineyard Avenue. The property is in the Vineyard Avenue Corridor Specific Plan area. The zoning for the property is PUD (Planned Unit Development) - LDR (Low Density Residential) District. (SR 01:198) Brian Swift presented the staff report. Ms. Dennis expressed her thoughts that the landscaping of the berms could be improved if there were some landscaping requirements for each home. Mr. Swirl said that each house's landscape plans would be examined when individual custom home plans are submitted. Ms. Michelotti was hoping that the sound walls could be eliminated. Ms. Swirl said the landscaping would be joined together into the adjacent homeowners' association and uniformly maintained. Mayor Pico said the applicants as individuals are clients of his and he checked with the City Attorney's Office found that it does not exceed the financial threshold to have a financial conflict of interest. It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Dennis, (1) to f'md that the PUD development plan is consistent with the General Plan, Vineyard Avenue Corridor Specific Plan, and the purposes of the PUD ordinance; and (2) introduce Ordinance No. 1839 Approving the Application of Tom and Tracey Miller and Greg and Kathy Thompson for PUD Development Plan Approval as Filed Under Case PUD-08.
