fond memories of Pleasanton and it had been a great opportunity for him to serve the City <br />of Pleasanton and work on the Economic Vitality Committee. He felt that it has been a <br />very gratifying experience. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico said that he appreciated his service. It was his pleasure as Mayor to go <br />through and make the new appointments. He shared that it was a real learning process <br />for him and one not without mistakes in the process and he appreciates all of the <br />members of the public who applied for the commission positions. It was a tough decision <br />and he appreciated all of the input that he received. <br /> <br /> Margene Gerton Rivara, Civic Arts Commissioner, said she was very proud to be <br />on the commission. She had been an alternate for the last year and has learned a lot and <br />looks forward to the future and guiding the City in direction for the civic arts and cultural <br />arts in Pleasanton. She thanked Mayor Pico for the opportunity. <br /> <br /> Terry Roberts, Library Commissioner, appreciated the opportunity to serve and <br />appreciated the Library staff. He said he thinks the community can be grateful for what <br />we have here in Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Ann Radford, Library Commissioner, was present. <br /> <br /> Ken Koenen, Library Commissioner, said he was looking forward to doing some <br />new things. He has done many things outside of the City and now is looking forward to <br />doing some things inside the City. <br /> <br /> Jerry Thorne, Park and Recreation Commissioner, expressed his thanks for the <br />confidence expressed in his reappointment. He would continue to serve the City well and <br />he had learned a lot in his first term. <br /> <br /> Dorothy Hem, Th-Valley Community Television Boardmember, thanked Mayor <br />Pico and said she is looking forward to doing the job. <br /> <br /> Stan Erickson, Economic Vitality Committee member, thanked the Council for <br />his reappointment and is looking forward to another exciting four years. <br /> <br /> James Isaac, Economic Vitality Committee member, said thank you for the <br />confidence placed in him and is looking forward to serving. <br /> <br /> Kira Golden, Youth Commissioner, was present to acknowledge her <br />reappointment. <br /> <br /> Matin Golden, Youth Commissioner, thanked the Council and will strive to do a <br />good job. <br /> <br />Courtney Kabealo, Youth Commissioner, was present for the ceremony. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 5 04/17/01 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
