4t. Approve City Council Priorities for 2001 - 2002. (SR 01:086) <br /> This item was discussed later on the agenda. <br /> <br />4U. <br /> <br />Adopt Resolution No. 01-026, amending the Master Fee Resolution No. 92-100 to <br />increase the Impound Vehicle Release Fee. (SR 01:046) <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Campbell, Dennis, Michelotti, and Mayor Pico <br />NOES: Councilmember Ayala and Mayor Pico on Item 4r <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />5. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Councilmamber Campbell recognized students from Grades 4, 5 and 6 from <br />Donlon Elementary School who are members of the GATE Program. <br /> <br /> Traci Eaton, Valley Care Medical Center, thanked Council for the recent <br />allocation of funds from the Citizens' Options for Public Safety (COPS) Grant for the <br />SART (Sexual Assault Response Team) Program. She described the service that is <br />provided by the team to victims of sexual assault. This is a cooperative effort among the <br />Alameda County District Attorney's office, the Pleasanton, Livermore and Dublin Police <br />Depa~hnents, Alameda County Sheriff's Department, Tri-Valley Haven's Rape Crisis <br />Center and the Valley Care Medical Center. Alameda County has three SART sites. <br /> <br /> Jim Jordan, 7882 Marigold Court, felt that Council did not receive literature or <br />research refuting much of the information published by various environmental <br />establishments such as the EPA, Fish and Wildlife, Sierra Club, etc. Like Jennifer <br />Hosterman, he indicated he would offer a~icles and reading lists of alternative research <br />for Council review while it evaluates critical habitat, endangered species designations, <br />green building plans, an environmental commission, or a sustainability plan. He <br />described the information that was being passed out to Council. <br /> <br /> Gloria Fredette, 3735 Oakbrook Court, indicated she usually watches the Council <br />meetings on television. She appreciated the tone of the last Council meeting and <br />complimented Mayor Pico on his style of running the meetings. She felt he was <br />courteous yet firm. She thanked Mr. Campbell for listening, being accessible, for doing <br />his homework and for asking questions that educate the community. She commended <br />him for basing his decisions on what is best for all of Pleasanton. <br /> <br /> Peggy Pumell, 2472 Via de los Milagros, encouraged Council to support Senate <br />Bill 701, introduced by Senator Toriakson.
