Creek and asked staff to investigate putting in similar devices at Olive Drive and <br />Muirwood to keep people from making wide turns. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pico indicated he had attended the National Conference of Mayors in <br />Washington, D.C. It was an eye-opening event for him. There is a movement to support <br />a national rail system, which may ultimately lead to the passage of additional funding that <br />could help us locally. He attended several panel discussions on energy and stated there is <br />a concern nationwide, not just in California. He also was able to attend the Inauguration <br />and he appreciated the opportunity to do that. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti commented that the city and the Human Services Commission <br />have concerns about the effects of this energy crisis on seniors and those with fixed <br />incomes. <br /> <br /> Mayor Pico announced that the Alameda County Mayors Conference would be <br />hosted by Pleasanton on February 14, 2001. He encouraged the citizens to submit <br />applications for the various commission vacancies that are currently being advertised. <br /> <br />8.
