Janet Yarbrough, 4560 Eull Court, spoke about election for mayor candidacy in <br />the City of Pleasanton. She said she wanted to set the record concerning the cash <br />contributions in Ms. Dennis' campaign for office. <br /> <br /> Dolores Bengtson, 568 Hamilton Way, said she is also working on Ms. Dennis' <br />campaign and felt that Ms. Dennis' record and goals were being presented as clearly as <br />they could to the voters. She invited the public to thoroughly review the materials <br />distributed for the campaign, to hlok at the candidate's website, or caI1 Ms. Dermis. Any <br />questions or concerns about her record, the candidate's position on issues, or the <br />campaign budget itself would be addressed openly and honestly. <br /> <br /> Jan Batcheller, 644 St. Mary Street, also spoke about the upcoming election and <br />recent information distributed about the candidates <br /> <br /> Gerry Brunken, 1753 Paseo Del Cajon, expressed his experience at a recent <br />League of Woman Voters event for the upcoming election. <br /> <br /> Ms. Dennis thanked her campaign supporters for appearing and expressing their <br />thoughts. She said she deeply appreciated their concise and accurate comments made on <br />her behalf and for helping to set the record sU'aight. She asked that if people hear <br />something they would llke to investigate for themselves, to please contact her directly. <br /> <br />6. (PDR-26 / PV-14} Nextel Communications, Sprint PCS <br />Appeal of the Planning Commission's denial of an application for (a) design review <br />to allow a wireless communications facility (including antennas and equipment) to <br />be located an the roof of an existing building located at 7399 Johnson Drive (Dublin <br />San Ramon Services District); and for (b) a variance from the Pleasanton Municipal <br />Code to allow the communications facilities to be located closer to a park than <br />allowed by the Municipal Code. <br /> <br />This item is continued until 12/05/00. <br /> <br />Item 6B <br />Proposed Pineline Desi~,n Changes for the LAVWMA Export Pineline Protect <br />(1)Approve shortening the single-pipeline in the San Leandro Marsh area by <br />approximately 1,460 feet contingent upon: (a) satisfactory findings from engineering <br />and environmental studies currently underway; (b) a statement of support by <br />LAV'WMA for regional coordination of habitat conservation planning; <br />(c) LAVWMA dedicating 50% of the expansion cost savings from the pipeline <br />shortening for preliminary review and exploratory work by Valley agencies with the <br />U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to consider development of a Regional Habitat <br />Conservation Plan for the Livermore Amador Valley; (2) approve abandonment of <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 4 10/17/00 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
