Ms. Ayaia said this was not discussed in the Liaison Committee in this detail and
she aFees with Mayor Tarver. Her hope is that we would be able to purchase some open
space for the regional habitat that Fish and Wildlife has been looking forward to. She
would like to make sum that this gets added to the list. She agrees with the changes
discussed in the agreement.

Ms. Dennis said that purchase of open space in the County is unusual. Some of it
is what is available; some of it is what is in the Master Plan in terms of trails and parks.
She stated that issues tend to be regional. tter question was that we were not using the
Altamont, and that we would use Vasco Road as the landfill.

Ms. Acosta said there is some Pleasanton refuse that goes to the Altamont landfill,
but not very much.

Ms. Dennis indicated that because of this factor, Dublin would pay morn of the
fee than Pleasanton and she felt that this is only fair for both cities. In terms of partnering
and finding other funds for the acquisitions that arc in both communities interest, it will
be pretty clear that there are not going m be many options in any case.

Ms. Ayala anticipated that there would be no disagreement between Pleasanton
and Dublin.

There were no public comments on this matter

It was moved by Ms. Dennis, seconded by Ms. Michelotti, to authorize the
City Manager to sign the agreement between the City of Pleasanton and the City of
Dublin regarding expenditures for open space created by an agreement settling
litigation over the expansion of the AItamont Landfdl.

The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers Ayala, Dennis, Michcloili, Pico and Mayor Tarvet
NOES: None
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

6.
