Eileen Fenell, 3231 Vineyard Avenue #701 representing residents of the tlacienda
Mobilehome Park, expressed continuing concerns about the new owner/manager of the
Hacienda Mobilehome Park. She indicated there is no resident manager and the posted
hours for the office are not adhered to. She raised concerns about utilities during a
disaster, pool maintenance standards, irrigation lines and flooding problems, etc. She
was concerned about the amount of the retroactive increase in rents lbr units that have
been transferred and was also concerned about potential rent increases to be imposed as
of October 1, 2000. She also wanted a new representative appointed to the Pleasanton
Mobilehome Committee.

Mr. Roush indicated he had been in contact with the park residents and the
property owners. Them is a difference of opinion regarding what is adequate for full time
management and grounds maintenance. He explained that much of his time recently has
been devoted in dealing with the Bernal Avenue property, but as soon as that matter is
concluded. he will review these matters more thoroughly.

Mayor Tarver requested that this item be placed on a future agenda.

Mr. Roush said he could have this before Council at its second meeting in
September.

Charles Cole, 787 Sylvaner Drive, President of the Pleasanton Cultural Arts
Cotu~cil, talked about all the benefits of living in Pleasanton. However, the one thing it
lacks is adequate arts facilities. He urged Council to set aside land on the Bernal Avenue
property lbr a cultural 'arts facility, including a theater, gallery, and classrooms. He said
Amador Theater is not adequate. He also did not believe the Bernal property- was a
suitable location lbr a municipal golf course because the western parcel was too narrow.
There is no room for a clubhouse, putting green or driving range. He urged Council to
set aside the space lbr the cultural arts center even if there is no funding to build anything
at present.

6.
