MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBI~IC <br /> <br /> Police Chief Tim Neal described the incident which occurred on July 20, 2000 <br />and Ms. Dennis presented commendations to Mark Kopechny and Jon Blanchard. Ms. <br />Holcomb and Ms. Flares were unable to attend the meeting. Mr. Kopechny and Mr. <br />Blanchad expressed their appreciation for the commendation. <br /> <br />Other Speakers <br /> <br /> Tanya Morgan, 3865 Hot Springs Court, explahaed the problems she and her <br />neighbors are having with a motorhome that is being parked in their Court. Even though <br />there is room to park the vehicle off the strcct, the owners of the motorhome do not park <br />in front of their own house or on their own property. The police department has indicated <br />the vehicle can be parked on the street so long as it is moved every 72 hours. She <br />expressed concerns about the safety of the children who play in the Court. The <br />motorhome has been there for lbur weeks. <br /> <br />Ms. Michelotti asked if anyone had talked to the motorhome owner. <br /> <br />Ms. Morgan said they had done so with no success. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver indicated this issue has come before Council before and the only <br />way to solve this would be lbr the Cit~ to adopt an ordinance regarding the parking of <br />recreational vehicles on the street. It is unfortunate the owner of the motorhome has no <br />consideration for the neighbors. <br /> <br /> Ms. Morgan indicated the cities of Dublin and Livemore have ordinances that <br />prevent motorhomes' parking like this. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotli indicated she was willing to consider an ordinance to prevent this <br />reoccurring problem. <br /> <br /> Mr. Roush indicated Council had considered this issue five or six years ago, but <br />did not adopt an ordinance. <br /> <br /> Mr. Fialho suggested that hel Ms. Acosta and ChiefNeal work to resolve this <br />issue and Council can consider whether it needs to take action city-wide in the future. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 3 08/15/00 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
