It is a pleasure in working with the City of Dublin to <br />bring this project to this point. <br /> <br /> Ms. Michelotti noted that tax dollar revenues eventually will come back to the <br />cities and this ~vill greatly benefit both Pleasanton and Dublin in future years. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Ayala, seconded by Ms. Dennis, to approve Resolution <br />00-077 approving the Financial Participation Memorandum of Understanding <br />(MOU) between the San Francisco Bay Area Rapid Transit District (BART), the <br />City of Pleasanton and the City of Dublin, for the proposed West Dublin/Pleasanton <br />BART Station. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmembers - <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Mayor Tarver <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Ayala, Dennis, Michelo.i and Vice Mayor Pico <br /> <br />Item 6c <br />Review and aonroval of the School Traffic Calming Prol!ram. (SR00:165) <br /> <br />Randy Lum and Bill van Gelder presented the staff report. <br /> <br /> Mr. Lum recognized some of the City staffmcmbers insmental in this program: <br />Diana Bonanno, Economic Development Manager; Bill van Gelder, Traffic Manager; <br />Mike Tassano, Traffic Engineer: Jerry Grassi, former Associate Traffic Enghlcer; Lt. <br />Paul Helms, Police Department; Fritz Knipe, Pleasanton Unified School District Staff <br />Liason member. Mr. Lum also noted that since this program has been initiated, the City <br />has received many requests fronx other cities and professional orgmlizations inquiring <br />about this program, because word has been spreading about the success Pleasanton has <br />had with this progran~ and how Pleasanton has dealt with traffic congestion at school <br />silcs. Mr. Tassano is scheduled 1o make a presentation to the Western Regional meeting <br />of the Institute of Traffic Engineers. Ms. Bonanno and Mr. Van Gelder have made <br />presentations to other interested agencies. <br /> <br />There were no public speakers. <br /> <br /> Mr. Pico said that he had atlended the volunteer luncheon along with Ms. <br />Michelotti.
