also like to remind the people at the US Department of Fish & Wildlife and other <br />regulatory agencies that the City of Pleasanton has taken a leadership position. The Cily <br />has said that it will agree to participate in a regional habitat conservation plan process and <br />to date it is the only city in the Tri-Valley area that has taken this position. VIe hoped <br />that the City's willingness to participate in this process ~vill be looked upon livorably <br />when the applications are reviewed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilmember Dennis, seconded by Councilmember <br />Ayala, to (1) postpone until July 22, 2000 the previously scheduled March 24, 2000 <br />Special Election regarding the Happy Valley Annexation; (2) request that LAFCO <br />approve an extension of time until December 31, 2000 to complete the Happy Valley <br />Annexation; and (3) direct staff to meet with Golf Course landowners and Happy <br />Valley developers to seek funding for remaining consultant costs and studies to <br />secure the environmental permits. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as lbllows: <br />AYES: Co~mcilmembers Ayala, Dennis, Micheloff, and Vice Mayor Pico <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Mayor Tarvar <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Item 6b <br />Referral from the Downtown SI}eci~c Plan Committee reelnesting nreoaration of a <br />"Retail-Only" ordinance herraining to uses on the first floor of Main Street and <br />certain side streets (SR 00:124) <br /> <br />This item was discussed later on the agenda. <br /> <br />Item 6c <br />Public hearing. and a0plication to LAFCO for Annexation No. 146, 155 acres on the <br />west side of Foothill Road (Fuller/Smathers}.
