It was moved by Ms. Michelotti, seconded by Ms. Dennis, to adopt <br />Resolution No. 00-040, approving the request of Passport Homes to reconsider <br />condition No. 6 (School Condition) for PUD-98-08 <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Dennis, Michclotti, Pico, and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />Item 6e <br />Annrovai of nronosed nroiects to be funded through the Federal Community <br />Develonment Block Grant (CDBG) Program for fiscal years 2000. 2001. and 2002. <br />(SR 00:100) <br /> <br /> Councilmember Pico abstained from this item because property he owns is <br />adjacent to the Valley Community Health Center and one of the other properties that are <br />part of the grant approvals which will be for physical improvements to the properties and <br />may indirectly effect the value of his property. <br /> <br />Steven Bocian presented the staff report. <br /> <br />Mayor Tarver declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Bruce Fiedler, on behalf of Spectrum Community Services, thanked the Council <br />for its past support of Valley Kitchen and Meals on Wheels. The elderly need food as <br />much as they need medication. They also need someone to see them on a regular basis to <br />provide conversation and someone to notice a change in their conditions. As <br />administrator of Pleasanton Gardens for fifteen years, he thanked Council for its support <br />of that facility and assistance in maintaining the appearance of the facility and support for <br />the quality of life of the residents. There are three more projects for the coming years. <br /> <br /> Mayor Tarver expressed his appreciation for Mr. Fiedler's management of that <br />facility. <br /> <br /> Sophia Klegg, Executive Director of Spectmrn Community Services, thanked <br />Council for its support of the meals program and allowing the use of the kitchen at Ridge <br />View Commons.
