Adopt Resolution No. 00-025, objecting to County sale of tax defaulted property <br />(Foothill Road-APN 946 3540 003) and finding that the property is needed for <br />public use by the City ofPleasanton. (SR 00:084) <br /> <br />Authorize participation in arnicus cttriae brief concerning the definition of mental <br />disability under state and I~deral law. (SR 00:078) <br /> <br />Adopt Resolution No. 00-026. authorizing the City Manager to sign a certificate <br />conceming an irrevocable offer of dedication for properties within Tract 7008, <br />Stoneridge Square. (SR 00:083) <br /> <br />Adopt Resolution No. 00-027, authorizing submittal of an application to the <br />California Integrated Waste Management Board for a 1999-00 Tire Recycling <br />Grant. (SR 00:085) <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Dennis, Michelotti, Pico, and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: Councilmember Pico on Item 4j <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTA1N: None <br /> <br />5. MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br /> Presentations honoring two businesses in operation in Pleasanton for 40 years <br />were given to the following: Dr. Howard F. Long and the Villager Lodge (formerly <br />known as the Budget Inn). <br /> <br /> Robert Cordtz, 262 West Angela, indicated the fence is still not complete near the <br />ACE train station and expressed concem about opening the gate of the parking lot to <br />West Angela and the fact the children are walking on the railroad tracks. <br /> <br /> Rob Fowler, representing Dublin San Ramon Services District (DSRSD), <br />presented an update on the odor problem from the sludge lagoons at the treatment plant. <br />The recent weather change caused an imbalance in the biological process. He then <br />explained the steps that have been taken and will be taken in the near future to solve the <br />problem. He urged residents to continue to call the hot line so DSRSD can track the <br />problems. <br /> <br /> Ms. Ayala referred to comments from Dave Requa at previous Council meetings <br />indicating these problems would be solved and asked if that was realistic. considering the <br />growth in Dublin. <br /> <br />Pleasanton City Council 3 03/21/00 <br />Minutes <br /> <br /> <br />
