Ms. Michelotti wanted to be sure everyone understood what the possible uses would
be and the parameters for the other structures as well as the house. She asked if it cotrid be
used as a double car garage?

Mr. Chestnut said it was a single car garage.

Ms. Michelotti said the only condition she could think to add would be that if Mr.
Ciesielski requests that clean up be done in his yard, that a time and place be arranged. She
supported moving on with this application.

It was moved by Ms. Ayala, seconded by Mr. Pico, to uphold the Zoning
Administrator's approval of the house addition.

Ms. Michelotti asked if Ms. Ayala would amend her motion to include a clean up.

Ms. Ayala said this is not near the barn and suggested Ms. Michelotti make a
separate motion.

The roll call vote was as follows:
AYES: Councilmembers - Ayala, Michelotti and Pico
NOES: Cotmcilmember Dennis and Mayor Tarver
ABSENT: None
ABSTAIN: None

It was moved by Ms. Michelotti that the Chestnuts, if requested by Mr.
Ciesiclski, pay for a clean up of his yard and some type of tarp be put in place if more
work will be performed.

There was no second.

Ms. Acosta assumed this applied to construction debris from Mr. Chestnut's project.
She was concerned about this in terms of what was there, what needs to be cleaned up, is it
enough, etc. Given the relationship of the individuals, there could be problems in defining
the details.

Ms. Dennis believed Mr. Ciesielski would have difficulty making the axrangements.
She asked if staff could suggest an alternative.

Mr. Swift said there was a requirement for the barn renovation that if anything fell
on the Ciesielski property, that Mr. Chestnut clean it up. However, he needs Mr. Ciesielski's
approval to enter his property.

Ms. Michelotti asked if Council was in accord to direct staff to facilitate that as
much as possible.

Pleasanton City Council 18 03/07/00
Minutes
