being heard. She was opposed to putting new housing in an old neighborhoed. Ms. Eich then <br />expressed her desire for a park on the site, if there can be no school. She also wanted <br />improvements to Hansen Park and its play equipment. She pointed out the tire swing was <br />burned, there is still a burn area in the sand and the tire swing has not been replaced. <br /> <br /> John Paredes, 5652 Black Avenue, asked Council to protect the interests of the <br />neighborhood by preventing high density housing or low-income housing. <br /> <br /> Gary Schwaegerle, 189 W. Angela Street, suggested portable classrooms for a school on <br />the site. He asked if the residents would accept that even though there would be no library <br />facilities.
