Item 7e <br />RZ-94-04. Jane and Clay Cameron <br />Aoolication for an amendment to the Zoning Ordinance to allow small Bed and Breakfast <br />establishments and Bed and Breakfast Inns as conditional uses in residential and <br />commercial zoninl~ districts. and anplication for conditional use permit approval for a four- <br />room small Bed and Breakfast to be located at 9104 Longview Drive. (SR 94:313) <br /> <br />Brian Swirl presented the staff report. <br /> <br />Mayor Tarver declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Jane and Clay Cameron, 9104 Longview Drive, pointed out the benefits of the Bed and <br />Breakfast and urged Council to approve their application. <br /> <br /> Lola Baggett, 1543 Trimingham Drive; Mickie DeFreitas, 5 Twelve Oaks Drive; Robert <br />Cordtz, 262 W. Angela; and Ruth Klein, 9146 Longview Drive, spoke in favor of the <br />application. <br /> <br /> JoAnn Johnson, 9086 Longview Drive, indicated she had been concerned because of <br />traffic and noise, but is now in support of the application. <br /> <br />There being no further testimony, the public hearing was closed. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Dennis, seconded by Ms. Mohr, that Ordinance No. 1636 be <br />introduced, to be read by title only and waiving further reading thereof, approving amendments <br />to sections of the Plea~qnton Municipal Code related to the establishment of bed and breakfast <br />inns. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Mohr, Pico, and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Scribner <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> It was moved by Ms. Dennis, seconded by Ms. Mohr, to adopt Resolution No. 94-102, <br />upholding the decision of the Planning Commission approving Case UP-94-56, the application <br />of Jane and Clay Cameron for a conditional use permit to establish a small four-room bed and <br />breakfast establishment at 9104 Longview Drive. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Mohr, Pico, and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilmember Scribner <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br />09/06/94 <br /> - 5 - <br /> <br /> <br />
