The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmembers - Dennis, Mohr, Pico, Scribner, and Mayor Tarver <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br />ABSTAIN: None <br /> <br /> Council expressed its appreciation to Unisource for its confidence in Pleasanton and its <br />economic viability and welcomed the company to the area. <br /> <br />There was a break at 9:34 p.m. <br /> <br />The meeting was re, convened at 9:43 p.m. <br /> <br />8. MATTER INITIATED BY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> After discussion of the fact this meeting falls on the same day as the Jewish holiday Rosh <br />Hashanah, Council requested staff to prepare a re!Don regarding a policy to follow in the event <br />a regularly scheduled meeting falls on the same day as a religious holiday. <br /> <br /> Ms. Mohr expressed concern about truck traffic during peak commute hours and <br />requested staff to prepare a condition to be applied to future projects which would require trucks <br />to avoid heavily traveled intersections (approaching LOS E) during certain hours. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver referred to the notice of the Board of Supervisors meeting on 9/20/94 at <br />10:30 a.m. and would like to have someone attend, or send a letter expressing Pleasanton's <br />desire to be an active participant in the operations of the fairgrounds. He suggested that the <br />Board come to the Valley for a meeting on this subject. <br /> <br /> Mr. Tarver referred to the U.S. Conference of Mayors' request for support of S 993, <br />which is legislation dealing with unfunded federal mandates. Council agreed a letter should be <br />drafted by staff. <br /> <br />9. SPECIAL AND INFORMATION REPORTS <br /> <br />Item 9a <br /> Actions of the Zoning, AdministratOr and Plannin~ Commission.
