The report also listed the names and <br />addresses of the candidates selected to fill these positions. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Reid that the <br />report of the Assistant City Manager, dated June 6, 1969, regarding the Summer <br />Youth Work Program, be accepted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega~ Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Gerton <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Review of Bids~ Award of Contract Re: Construction of Well Nos. 5 and 6 Facilities <br /> Mr. Campbell reviewed his report, dated June 5, 1969, which recommended that <br />the low bid of Gil Construction Company, in the amount of $169,292.00, for the <br />construction of Wells Nos. 5 and 6 Facilities, be awarded. <br /> Councilman Spiliotopoulos requested that additional information be supplied <br />regarding the electrical cost which amounts to $47,000.00 of the bid. <br /> Mr. Walter Gossman, representing Kennedy Engineers, presented the drawings <br />of the project and explained the function of the new facilities. <br /> After considerable discussion regarding this matter, it was moved by Councilma <br />Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Reid that Resolution No. 69-141, awarding the <br />contract to Gil Construction Company for new facilities at Wells No. 5 and 6, in <br />the amount of $169,292.00, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Gerton <br />NOES: None <br />ABSEnt: None <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br />Mr. Fales indicated that he had received the report of the State Department of <br />Finance which determined a population of 14,600 for the City of Pleasanton as of <br />April 1, 1969. <br /> <br /> <br />
