<br /> CALL TO ORDER - PLEDGE TO FLAG
<br /> Mayor Bernard Getton called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order
<br /> at 8:00 P.M., and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag.
<br />
<br /> ROLL CALL
<br /> City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows:
<br /> Councilmen Beratlls, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Gerton were present.
<br /> Mr. Fales, City Manager, Mr. Edgar, Assistant City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City
<br /> Attorney, and Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works, were present. Mr. Castro,
<br /> Director of Planning, was absent.

<br />~f~ AGENDAAMENDMENTS
<br />· '~ Mr. Fales reported that Mr. George Oakes, representing Amador Valley Investors,
<br />~" had contacted him and requested that their application to amend existing P.U.D.
<br />~'O 69-2, pertaining to a portion of Parcels 2-6 and 6-2, Assessor's Map Book No. 946,
<br />L" Block 1101, containing approximately 11.0 acres, to be discussed under agenda
<br /> item, Matters Continued for Decision, be withdrawn.
<br />
<br /> Mr. Fales indicated that Mr. Fairfield was present to discuss the results of
<br /> the bids on the improvements for Assessment District No. 69-1, Longview.
<br /> Mr. Fairfield reported that only two bids were received for this project and
<br /> recommended that both bids be rejected as the amounts were in excess of 10% of
<br /> the engineers estimate. Mr. Fairfield requested that new bids be called for
<br /> July 3rd, 1969, and the Public Hearing be continued from June 16th to July 14th,
<br /> 1969.
<br /> It was moved by Councilman Rega and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that
<br /> Resolution No. 69-139, rejecting all bids and calling for re-advertisement for
<br /> bids on improvements in Assessment District No. 69-1, Longview, be adopted.
<br /> The roll call vote was as follows:
<br /> AYES: Councilmen Beratlts, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Gerton
<br /> NOES: None
<br /> ABSENT: None
<br />
<br /> It was moved by Councilman Rega and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that
<br /> Resolution No. 69-140, continuing the Public Hearing on Assessment District No.
<br /> 69-1, Longview, at 8:00 P.M., on July 14, 1969, be adopted.
<br /> The roll call vote was as follows:
<br /> AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton
<br /> NOES: None
<br /> ABSENT: None
<br />
<br /> Councilman Spiliotopoulos requested that the application of Larsen-Gerton
<br /> Realty be removed from the Consent Calendar in order to obtain clarification from
<br /> Mr. Fales regarding other applications for rezoning. Mr. Fales explained that
<br /> other requests have been for temporary zoning for uses other than the Commercial
<br /> Service District. Mr. Fales stated that he will review this matter and report
<br /> indetail to the Council. Councilman Reid requested that this matter be placed
<br /> back on the Consent Calendar. The City Attorney, in answer to Mayor Oerton's
<br /> --- question, stated there would be no conflict of interest in his voting on the
<br /> setting of the public hearing on the Larsen-Gerton Realty application.

<br /> CONSENT CALER~AR
<br /> It was moved by Councilman Reid and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that the
<br /> following items listed on the Consent Calendar, be approved:
<br />
<br /> 1. Waiving the reading of Ordinance No. 559, amending Ordinance No. 520 and
<br /> existing P.U.D. No. 69-1 in order to apply final zoning as an RM-15 District,
<br /> from an RM-25 District, for that property located north of West Las Positas
<br /> Boulevard and west of Fairlands Drive fronting on Fairlands Drive and con-
<br /> taining approximately 2.1 acres.
<br />
<br /> 2. Adoption of Ordinance No. 559.
