Juhl~ et al~ for an amendment to Ord..No. 520~ rezonin= from the A District to the O Distriqt that prop~[ty described as the southwest corner of Black Ave. and ~anta Rita Road containin~ approximately 11.25 acres Mr. Fales read a letter from Dr. George Collins requesting the City Council to defer any action on a general hospital site. Mr. Fales explained that the application of Dr. R. P. Juhl and Mr. Frank Auf der Mauer does not affect a general hospital site in any ~ay. Mr. Castro displayed a map and pointed out proposed locations of other medical centers. He also reviewed his report regarding Hospital Planning in the Pleasan- ton area, dated March 21, 1969. It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that Ordinance No. 550, amending Ordinance No. 520, rezoning from the '~gricul- tural District" to the "Office District" that property described as the southwest corner of Black Avenue and Santa Rita Road, containing approximately 11.25 acres, be introduced. No. 520~ rezoning from an RM-2500 District to an RM-1500 District that property described as a portion of Parcel !18, Tract No~ 2639~ Unit 3~ located on the west side of Fairlands Drive d~e north of W. Las Positas Blvd~, contain~nR_apDroximatelV 2 acres Mr. Fales reported that the public hearing on this matter has been held and closed on March ~0, 1969. The City Attorney summarized his report regarding the problems in this matter arising from the application of the old zoning ordinance, and recommended that the hearing be dropped and Mr. Oakes be directed to file an application for a Planned Unit Development District under the provisions of Ordinance No. 520. It was moved by Councilman Reid and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos that the hearing on the application of Mr. George Oakes be terminated and that he be directed to apply for a Planned Unit Development District under the provisions of Ordinance No. 520. REPORTS OF THE CITY I~ANAGER Study of Buildings of Historical or Architectural Significance Mr. Fales reviewed his report, dated March 21, 1969, regarding a study of buildings of historical or architectural significance and also reviewed the report of the Director of ~ublic Works, dated March 4, 1969. Mr. Fales stated that this matter was only an informational item, but when the study is complete, it will include recommendations as to the legislative and organizational tools which might be used to effectuate a program in this area. 3.
