It was moved by Councilman Rega and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos that <br /> Resolution No. 69-55, approving the Tentative Subdivision Map for Tract No. 3102 <br /> and approving the Preliminary Development Plans for Falender Homes, be adopted. <br /> The roll call Vote was.~s. follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Betailia, Rega, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilman Reid <br /> <br /> S~ECIA~ REPORTS <br /> Report of the Fiesta "75" Committee <br /> Mr. Clint Logan, General Chairman of the Fiesta "75" Committee, reported on the <br /> progress the Committee had made for this celebration to be held in June. <br /> Mr. Logan explained in detail the anticipated expenditures and revenues and <br /> added that most of the expenditures would have to be paid for before the revenue <br /> is received. He therefore requested, in behalf of the Jaycee's, that the City of <br /> Pleasanton loan the Committee $2,500.00, which will be paid back as soon as revenue <br /> from various events are received. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Rega that <br /> Resolution No. 69-56, authorizing and directing the Director of Finance to advance <br />|~ $2,500.00 on a loan basis, to the Pleasanton Jaycee's for the purpose of under- <br />~'~ writing the costs of the Fiesta "75" event, be adopted. <br />~9 The roll call vote was as follows: <br />[_) AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton <br />(.) NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilman Reid <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> Mr. Fales stated that the reports of Boards and Commissions scheduled for this <br /> meeting were considered with the Consent Calendar. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br /> Rpport of the Assistant City Manage_Xr~el Requested Rate Increase for Tele-Vue <br /> System~,.Inc. <br /> Mr. Fales reviewed the report of the Assistant City Manager, dated March 14, <br /> 1969, which thoroughly detailed the financial operations of Tele-Vue Systems, Inc. <br /> Mr. Feith Fraser, Attorney for Tele-Vue Systems, introduced Mr. John Goddard, <br /> Manager. Mr. Goddard answered questions the Councilmen asked regarding the current <br /> level of service, what constitutes a "fair return", the franchise with the City, <br /> and the proposed rate change. <br /> Mayor Gerton requested that this matter be continued for discussion on March <br /> 31st in order to allow Councilman Reid an opportunity to study this rate increase <br /> report. <br /> <br /> C. M. R~port No. 96 Re: Proposed Ordinance Re~latin~ D[aW poker Establishments <br /> within the City <br /> Mr. Fales reviewed his report No. 96 and stated that this matter was initiated <br /> by the Chief of Police in order that the operations of card rooms may be regulated. <br /> Mr. Fales reviewed the report of the Chief of Police and also reviewed the pro- <br /> posed ordinance regulating the operations of card rooms. <br /> After discussion of this matter, Mayor Getton requested that it be postponed <br /> until March 31st in order that the Chief of Police and the owners of the two card <br /> rooms presently operating in Pleasanton, are present to answer any questions the <br /> City Council may present. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Betaills <br /> that the public hearing on the proposed ordinance regulating the operation of card <br /> rooms be scheduled at 8:00 P.M., on March 31, 1969. <br /> The roll call vote wa~ as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Betailia, Rega, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilman Reid <br /> <br /> Proposed Resolution Governing the Use of 1913-15 Improvement Acts <br /> Mr. Fales read the proposed resolution governing the use of 1913-15 Improvement <br /> Acts and stated that Mr. Robert Brunsell, Bond Counsel, had a few minor changes to <br /> suggest in the language of the proposed resolution but it could be adopted as <br /> amended. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Rega that <br /> Resolution No. 69-57, setting forth the policy governing the establishment of <br /> Special Assessment Districts under the 1913 and 1915 Improvement Acts, as amended <br /> by Bond Counsel, be adopted. <br /> <br /> 2. <br /> <br /> <br />
