MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> THE CITY COUNCIL <br /> Pleasanton, California <br /> March 17, 1969 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER - .[L~pGE TO FLAG <br /> Mayor Bernard Getton called the Adjourned Regular Meeting of the City Council <br />to order at 8:00 P.M., and then ledg the pledge of allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL.CALL <br /> City Clerk Helen McCarty called the roll which is recorded as follows: <br />Councilmen Betaills, Rega, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton were present. Council- <br />man Reid was absent. Mr. Fales, City Manager, Mr. Edgar, Assistant City Manager, <br />Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Campbell, Director of Public Works, and Mr. Castro, <br />Director of Planning, were present. <br /> <br />AGENII~ AMENDMENTS <br /> There were no amendmeuts to the agenda. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Rega that <br />the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be approved: <br /> <br />1. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-53, accepting the Public Improvements from D&V <br /> Builders, Inc., at the relocation of Black Avenue and Hopyard Road. <br /> <br />2. Adoption of Resolution No. 69-54, accepting the Corporation Grant Deed from <br /> Hatper and Row Publishers, Inc., for the Sunol Blvd. widening. <br /> <br />3. Scheduling a Public Hearing on the application of the Planning Commission for <br /> an amendment to Ordinance No. 520, Section 22.104, Title Section, and 22.104a <br /> by adding the words, "or sign" in the Title Section after the word "structure"; <br /> and the words, "or in the case of signs with any of the requirements of Article <br /> 17 hereof" after the words, "in which the structure is located" in Section <br /> 22.104a, for 8:00 P.M., on March 31, 1969. <br /> <br />The roll ~ll. vote .was as follows~ <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Reid <br /> <br />PUBLIC HFARINGS <br />Appeal of the Shell Oil Company, 235 West MacArthur Blvd.,Oak!and. from a decision <br />of the Design Review Board in imposinM.Conditions NO. 2..and 16 upon the ~pDroval of <br />a ZoninR permit for the construction of an automobile service station at 5251 Hop- <br />yar~ Roads.and requesting clarification of Conditions No. 21~ 23 and 25 of said <br />Zoning permit <br /> Mr. Fales reported that Mr. Perry, representing Shell Oil Company, had request- <br />ed that this public hearing be continued to April 14, 1969. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Rega that <br />the public hearing on the appeal of the Shell Oil Company be continued at 8:00 P.M. <br />on April 14, 1969. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: Councilman Reid <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED FOR DECISION <br />Further consideration of ~ty Co~nci~ Re: bDro~al of Preliminary Development Plan <br />for Falender Homes <br /> <br />Report of the planBinM Commission Re: Approval of Tentative Subdivision Map~ Tract <br />No. 3~02 (Falender Homes} <br /> Mr. Fales reviewed the report of the Planning Commission, dated March 13, which <br /> recommended approval of the Tentative Subdivision Map for Tract No. 3102, subject <br /> to 24 Conditions. <br /> <br /> <br />
