After additional discussion, Councilman Reid moved and Councilman Rega seconded a substitute motion to postpone the decision on this matter for two weeks in order to allow for further study of the proposal. Las Positas Blvd~, west of Route ~80~ east of Foothill R0ad~ and north of Bernal Avenue Mayor Gerton declared the public hearing on the application of Falender Hemes open. Mr. Castre presented the developer's concept of the "zero lot line" detached single-family homes together with a proposed high school, multiple area and a park site. After considerable discussion on this matter, it was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Beretlie that the "zero lot line" for the Tentative Subdivision Map for Tract No. 3102 be approved in principal. Councilman Rega moved, and Councilman Reid seconded a substitute motion to continue the public hearing to May 12, 1969, and continue for a decision on March 17, 1969, the matter of the preliminary planned unit development plan for Falender H~mes, pending consideration of the Tentative Subdivision Map for Tract No. 3102 by the Planning Commission on March 12, 1969. The roll call vote. was.as.follows: AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Gerton EOES: None ABSENT: None MF~ETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC Mrs. Mary Gremellion, 4062 Walnut Drive, requested that a tree on her property line be removed because of the exposed roots which are growing on top of the ground were making it impossible to mow her lawn and were uplifting the sidewalk. Mayor Gerton advised Mrs. Gremellion that the Councilmen would personally survey this situation and will make a decision next week. PUBLIC HEARINGS,..CONT. Las Positas Blvd.,..and containing approximately 2 acres Mayor Getton declared the public hearing open. Mr. Castre reported that the present zoning was RM-2500 and Mr. Oakes was requesting a rezoning to RM-1500 in lieu of obtaining a Variance Permit to allow the setback needed for the RM-2500. Mr. Kermit B. Benarson, 4185 Suffolk Way, protested the rezon~ng and stated that he was not advised by the developer that multiples would be constructed in that area. Mr. Bob Pearson, 3590 Churchill Court, Pleasanton, protested the rezoning ana displayed maps and drawings which revealed some possible inconsistencies in the requirements for multiple dwellings. Mr. Pearson also stated that the width of Falrlands Drive, the only street constructed at this time for ingress and egress, would cause serious traffic congestion when guests of the multiple dwellers were parked on this street. After consideration discussion, it was moved by Councilman Beratlis and ~ecendad by Councilman Spiliotopoulos that the public hearing be closed.
