Judge <br /> Gale emaphsized that industry is interested in land that has flood protection and <br /> urged the Councilmen to induce the Zone No. 7 Board of Directors to expend funds <br /> to improve the Arroyo Mecho and Tassajara Channels. Judge Gale advised the Council <br /> that the Industrial Committee is employing Mr. Karn and Mr. Fairfield to make a <br /> detailed report to be submitted to Zone 7 Board of Directors. Judge Gale stressed <br /> the importance in contacting Zone No. 7 immediately to determine what priority has <br /> been given the flood control improvements in the Arroyo Mocho-Tassajara Creeks <br /> between Hopyard and Santa Rita Roads. Judge Gale requested time on the January <br /> 20th agenda to report on this matter again. <br /> <br /> Report Re: Valley P~annin~ Committee <br /> Councilman Spiliotopoulos reported that the Valley Planning Committee met on <br /> January 9, 1969, and considered the following items and subsequent action. <br /> <br /> 1. ~roposed V.C.S.D. Tassa~ara Annexation <br /> The Valley Planning Committee voted to express disfavor with the V.C.S.D. <br /> action in initiating annexation proceedings for the Tassajara area. Mr. Fales <br /> was requested to prepare a report listing the reasons why VCSD should not <br /> proceed with the subject annexation, for presentation at the February meeting. <br /> After this report is approved in final form by the Committee, copies will be <br /> forwarded to other affected jurisdictions, the Local Agency Formation Commis- <br /> sion, Federal agencies and legislative representatives requesting their con- <br /> currence with the position of the Committee. <br /> <br /> 2. Policy.~e~ardin~ ~rohibition of Septic Tank Usame <br /> The City of Livermore Resolution No. 1-69, objecting to development of <br /> property with inadequate provision for sewerage and other public works in <br /> areas in proximity to the City of Livermore. This resolution was discussed <br /> and then referred by the Committee to each member agency for consideration, <br /> with a request for concurrence by the City of Livermore. This item will be <br />-- listed on a future Pleasanton Council agenda for consideration. <br /> <br /> 3. Proposed Federal Military Cemetery Location <br /> Valley Community Services District Resolution No. 44-68 was discussed <br /> and will be listed on a future Pleasanton Council agenda for consideration. <br /> <br /> 4. ~.roposed Apperson Ridge Quarry. Operation <br /> The Committee continued this matter to the February meeting after an <br /> initial presentation and explanation of this proposal by Mr. Fraley, County <br /> Planning Director. <br /> <br /> 5. Livermore-Amador Valley Public La.n~ Inventory AnalySis <br /> This matter was continued to the February meeting. <br /> <br /> 5 <br /> <br /> <br />
