Proposed Resolution r~garding' B.ackyard.Burning <br /> The proposed resolution of V.C.S.D. was discussed and the Committee took <br /> action referring the resolution to each member agency. <br /> <br /> It was moved by Councilman Rega and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos that <br /> the City Council reiterate its previous position as outlined in Resolution No. <br /> 68-207, adopted on November 18, 1968, and to ask Valley Community Services District <br /> to reconsider their action. <br /> The roll call vote wa.~ ~s follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Gerton <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> Other than those listed on the Consent Calendar, there were no reports of <br /> Boards and Commissions. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br /> ~eport Re: Request by.the City to amend annexation proceedings (Annexation No. 58- <br /> Kolb property) now pending before the L.A.F.C. in order to include more land and <br /> create an island within the City <br /> Mr. Fales explained that it now has become obvious that it will be possible to <br />increase the amount of land included in Annexation No. 58 because of the valua- <br />tions which have been received from the Assessor's office. Mr. Fales stated that <br />in order to accomplish this, it will also be necessary to create an unincorporated <br />island within the City Limits. Mr. Fales recommended that the Council adopt a <br />resolution requesting the Local Agency Formation Commission to amend Annexation <br />No. 58 to include more land and to grant permission to the City to create this <br />island. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Rega and seconded by Councilman Reid that Resolu- <br />tion No. 69-6, authorizing the staff to request to the Local Agency Formation <br />Commission that Annexation No. 58 be amended to include more land and that the <br />City of Pleasanton be granted permission to create an unincorporated island within <br />its City Limits, be adopted. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report Re: Application of Ray Y~ung, 2 ~astlewood Drive~ P.!easanton,.for.a Vari- <br />ance to the Uniform Building Code in order to renovate a building located at 465 <br />Main Street~ Pleasanton <br /> Mr. Campbell reviewed his report, dated January 9, 1969, in which he opined <br />that the variance requested in this application would be within the intent of <br />Section 5 of Ordinance No. 525, Uniform Building Codes. <br /> Mr. Fales stated that this request is consistent with the philosophy generated <br />by the Citizens Committee on the Central Business District. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Beratlis <br />that a Variance to the Uniform Building Code be granted to Ray Young in order to <br />renovate his building located at 465 Main Street, Pleasanton. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Gerton <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report Re: Proposed City Council pol~cy....est~blishing developer's obligations for <br />crossing of ~a.jor storm drain channels <br /> Mayor Getton requested that the above matter be placed on the agenda for <br />January 20, 1969. <br /> <br />Report Re: Annotated City Council pro~eCt priority list <br /> Mayor Gerton requested that the above matter also be placed on the agenda for <br />January 20, 1969. <br /> <br /> <br />
