Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Gerton <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br />Mr. Fales read a letter from Dr. Donald E. Watson, Clean Air Coordinating <br />Committee Chairman, dated October 22, 1969, requesting Council action supporting <br />clean air. <br />Mayor Gerton requested that the information regarding this issue be forwarded <br />to the City Council for review and the matter be placed on the agenda for November <br />17, 1969. <br /> <br />Mr. Fales reviewed the letters from Mr. B. R. Stokes, General Manager of the <br />Bay Area Rapid Transit District, and from Mr. William Parness, City Manager, <br />Livermore,regarding the need of a supplementary study of an intra-Valley transit <br />system. Mr. Fales stated that the cost of such a study would be approximately <br />$7.500.00. and this could be proportioned on the basis of current estimated popu- <br />lation of Valley COlmDunity Services, the City of Livermore, and the City of <br />Pleasanton. Mr. Parness also advised that the City of Livermore had formally <br />approved such a study providing the City of pleasanton and V.C.S.D. also approves <br />this study. <br /> <br />4. <br />
