"T' """ a'j SPECIAL RE~ ~ Councilman Reid reported on the meeting he and Mr. Fales had with Mr. Frank ~ Nicol, Department of Veterans Affairs,regarding Cal-Vet Loans. Councilman Reid ~ stated that the current situation was quite discouraging. He suggested that the only alternative was to see if banks would consider some type of interim financing until the matter could be resolved. Mr. Fales also elaborated on this meeting. Mr. James Thomas stated that developers were still advertising the availability of Cal-Vet Loans. Mr. Fales was asked to contact developers to advise them to dis- continue this practice until the situation is resolved. COMMUNICATIONS Mr. Fale;-read a letter from Mr. Perry Lusby. dated October 20th, requesting that the report from the Advisory Committee on Industrial Development be withdrawn from the Council agenda until the members can meet to clarify a certain matter. It was moved by Councilman Reid and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that the Industrial Development report be referred back to the Advisory Committee in order to make necessary changes prior to the Study Session with the City Council.
