Inc.. dated October 17. 1969, which requested that the original P.U.D. approval conditions dealing with sidewalks, be waived. Mr. James Thomas, 3559 Glacier Court. stated that the school children in that area were not walking through the park because of sprinklers being on at that hour and were using the streets. He asked if a crosswalk could be painted at at least one of the intersections. Mr. Frost stated that the watering of the lawns in the park at that particular hour will be stopped so that the children may use the park to walk through on their way to meet the school bus. Discussion continued regarding the safety of the school children and the loca- tion of the bus stops. Mr. Fales reviewed the entire history on the matter of sidewalks being installed on only one side of the street and the opposition of the residents on the side of the streets without sidewalks to have sidewalks installed. It was moved by Councilman Reid and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that Resolu- tion No. 69-249, eliminating Condition No. 17, of the Planning Commission Resolution No. 763. adopted March 13, 1968. approving ~he Tentative Subdivision Map for Tract No. 3004. and specifying that the P.U.D. c0ndition relating to sidewalks on one side of the street only. be applied to Units No. 3 and 4 of said subdivision. be adopted.
