ITG (General Industry) District that property described as Parcel 3t con- <br />tainin~ aDDfox. 1.2 acres~ and a. portion of Parcel 6-2.~ cont~ining aDDfox. 1.5 <br />acres, Block 1!51~ Assessor's Map Book 946~ ~enerally located at the northwest <br />corner of the intersection of Mohr and Oakland AVenues <br /> Mayor Reid declared the public hearing open. <br /> Mr. Castro reviewed the reports of the Planning Commission and displayed maps <br />and overlays regarding the property and the general area. <br /> Councilman Spiliotopoulos asked what recommendations had been made to develop <br />the entire area. Mr. Castro stated there were no specific recon~endations. Mr. <br />Fales added that all lands can't be treated the same, thus specific recommendation~ <br />cculd not be made at this time. <br /> Jack Bras, representing J. A. Jenks Company, stated that this Company has been <br /> looking for property in the Pleasanton area for several years, and found this <br /> particular location to be ideally suited to their needs, and would like to relocate <br /> from San Francisco. He went on to say that it is a bulk type spice operation, and <br /> that they will employ from 10 to 20 people in the warehouse and 5 to 10 in the <br /> office. <br /> it was moved by Councilman Gerton and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that the <br /> public hearing be closed. <br /> ~he roll call vote was as follows: <br />A.YSS: Councilmen Beratlis, Getton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Further discussion ensued regarding operation of the plant, packaging and <br /> distribution, and possible odors that might emit from the plant. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Gerton <br /> that Ordinance No. 598, be introduced, approving the application of the J. A. Mr. Camp- <br /> bell replied that there will be a gradual shift to V.C.S.D. plant within the next <br /> five years. <br /> Councilman Pearson also inquired about density. Mr. Fales explained the <br /> General Plan concept for this area. <br /> After further discussion, it was moved by Councilman Getton and seconded by <br /> Councilman Berstlis that Ordinance No. 597, be introduced, approving the applica- <br /> tion of Arthur Wyler and Mary Perry to pre-zone, pending annexation, to the <br /> RM-2500 (Multiple) District from the existing A (Agricultural) District, that <br /> property kno,.m as 3883 Vineyard Avenue, said property described as Parcel 2, <br /> Block 1699, Assessor's Map Book 946, containing approx. 3.56 acres. <br /> <br /> 2. <br /> <br /> <br />
