The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Getton <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> Proposed Increase in Sewer Connection Fee <br /> <br /> Proposed Increase in Water Service Fee <br /> Mr. Fales stated that the above reports have been forwarded to the Council and <br /> would be discussed at the Council meeting of March 16, 1970, in order to allow the <br /> Council members sufficient time to study these proposals. <br /> Councilman Rega stated that he had prepared a questionnaire on Sewer Connection <br /> Fees for the staff to consider. <br /> <br /> Matters for the Information of_the_~ouncil <br /> Mr. Fales reported that he has scheduled the next meeting between the City <br /> Council and the Citizens for Planned Progress for March 12, 1970, at St. Augus- <br /> tine's Catholic Church Education rooms. <br /> Several members of the Council stated that they have previously committed <br />meetings to attend that evening and Mr. Fales was instructed to reschedule the <br />Density meeting for the following week. <br /> <br /> REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY <br /> There were no reports of the City Attorney. <br /> <br /> COMMUNICATIONS <br /> From Mrs. Kenneth M. Coe Re: Proclamation of Camp Fire Girls Birthday Week <br /> Mr. Fales read the above communication which requested that the Mayor proclaim <br />March 15 through March 21, 1970, Camp Fire Girls Birthday Week, and that in com- <br />meration of the 60th anniversary of their organization, they would like to present <br />the City Council with a birthday cake on March 16, 1970. <br /> It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Reid that <br />the Mayor be authorized to proclaim the week of March 15-27th, 1970, was CampFire <br />Girls Birthday Week in the City of Pleasanton. <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Rega, Reid, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Gerton <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MATTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> Councilman Beratlis directed the staff to prepare a report on the over-parking <br />situation on Main Street. He suggested that the staff consider the possibility of <br />using off-duty police officers to patrol Main Street for vehicles that are parked <br />for a prolonged period of time. <br /> <br /> Councilman Reid presented the staff with pictures of the Besco School area <br />where water is not draining and suggested that perhaps the Gravel Companies could <br />provide gravel for this project. Councilman Spiliotopoulos suggested that the <br />developer could perform some work to alleviate this situation. <br /> Mr. Campbell was instructed to survey the area of the Besco School and make <br />some specific recommendations. <br /> <br /> Mayor Gerton stated that he was approached by a citizen from the Rosepointe <br />Subdivision requesting that a citizen from that area be appointed to the General <br />Plan Review Committee and asked if the Councilmen would consider making this a <br />26-member committee. <br /> Councilman Spiliotopoulos suggested that this committee be expanded to a 30 <br />or 31 member committee. <br /> It was decided that increasing the membership of the General Plan Review <br />Committee will be considered by the City Council. <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> Mr. Robert E. Lee, 4938 Drywood, accused the City Council of an "invasion of <br />privacy" by having knowledge of his private and public affairs. <br /> Councilman Beratlis stated that it was not illegal to have information regard- <br />ing property of any citizen as this is recorded in Alameda County records. City <br />Attorney Hirst concurred with Councilman Beratlis' remarks. <br /> <br /> <br />
