It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that the application of Sierra Private School, be dismissed. Mayor Reid declared the public hearing open. Mr. Castro Reviewed his report, dated September 17, 1970, which detailed the events leading up to this matter. Mr. Dudley Frost, representing Morrison Homes, displayed a diagram of the setbacks of the two homes involved and also showed slides of the back yards of these homes. Mr. Frost admitted the mistake his contractors had made in laying out the foundation but claimed with proper landscape screening, the privacy of Mr. Fahy would not be invaded. Mr. Fahy stated that he called the contractors attention to the fact that the forms were placed too close to his property line, before construction had commenced. Mr. Fahy also stated that he advised the City of this infraction. Councilman Spiliotopoulso suggested that Mr. Fahy and the developer be given two weeks to work out a compromise and then report the results to the City Council. Mayor Reid stated that this matter would be continued in two weeks in order to allow Mr. Frost and Mr. Fahy sufficient time to work out a reasonable solution to this problem.
