The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilman Gerton <br /> <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br /> Application of the Planning CommisSio~n for an amendment to Ordinance <br /> -- No. 520 rezonin~ from the Commercial Freeway and Commercial Service <br /> Districts to the Office, Public and InSt~itut'ionaland Industrial Park <br /> Districts, th. ose properties described 'as~P~arcels 5-4 and 5-3, Block 157~ <br /> Assessor's Map Book 94, said properties more commonly known as the Catholic <br /> Church and City and County of San Francisco parcels, located generally <br /> south of Bernal Avenue and west of Main Street and containing approximately <br /> 22.62 acres. <br /> <br /> Mayor Reid declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br /> Mr. Castro stated that this application of the Planning Commission was the <br /> result of a directlye from the City Council to review the existing zoning <br /> surrounding the Civic Center site and to determine whether or not the <br /> present zoning was appropriate and in general conformante with the future <br />00 development of the Civic Center. Mr. Castro also displayed a map of the <br /> General Plan area and pointed out that this application for rezoning was <br /> also in conformance with the General Plan. <br /> <br /> There being no public protests, it was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos <br /> and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that the public hearing be closed. <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilman Getton <br /> <br /> ' After some discussion on this matter, it was moved by Councilman Beratlis <br /> and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos that Ordinance No. 612, amending <br /> Ordinance No. 520, rezoning fromlthe~Commercial Freeway and Commercial <br /> Service Districts to the Office, the Public and Institutional, and the <br /> Industrial Park Districts, those properties described as Parcels 5-4 ~nd <br /> 5-3, Block 157, Assessor's Map Book 94, said properties more commonly <br /> known as the Catholic Church and the City and County of San Francisco <br /> parcels, located generally south of Bernal Avenue and west of Main Street <br /> and containing approximately 22.62 acres, be introduced. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br /> AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid <br /> NOES: None <br /> ABSENT: Councilman Gerton <br /> <br /> Application of Mr. John MacGowan for an amendment to Ordinance No. 520 <br /> rezonin~ from the A~ricultural District to the Industrial Park~ RM-25 <br /> Multiple and the Commercila Service Districts that ~ro~erty described <br /> as Parcels B and 4, Assessor's Map Book 946, ~lockB 00, containin~ <br /> approximately 91.89 acres, said property commonly known as the Nev s and <br /> Lima parcels and ~enerall7 located west of 'Santa Rita Road and bounded <br /> by the TassaJara Canal and the Southern Pacific'Railroad. <br /> <br /> .....
