Fales requested that this matter be postponed until the Meeting <br />of June 7, 1971. <br /> <br />Application of Morrison ttomes for Tentative Map .and Development <br />Plan approyal for a PUD 71-1 and Tract No. 3184, a residential dev- <br />elopment consisting. of single-family units. Said development is <br />proposed to be located on property generally kno~n as the "Orloff <br />Parcel" bounded by Santa Rita Road, the Southern Pacific Railroad, <br />and Kaiser Road, and containing approximately 94 acres. <br /> <br />Mayor Reid declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br />14r. Aiello reviewed his report, dated May I1, 1971, as well as the <br />reports from the Planning Staff, the Director of Public Works, the <br />Director of Parks and Recreation and other agencies that x..~ould be <br />involved in this development. <br /> <br />Hr. Bud Lake, representing Horrison ttomes, sho'...~ed picture slides of <br />tile proposed development which is to combine three housing types, <br />namely, Garden Court, Cluster and Condeminium. <br /> <br />Mr. Lake asked for clarification of Condition Nos. 21 and 22, which <br />were listed in Planning Commission Resolution NO. 1085, dated April <br />27, 1971, relating to tile development of the park and the realign- <br />ment of Kaiser Road in the first phase of construction. <br /> <br />Mr. Aiello replied that he would obtain the reasoning of the Plan- <br />ning Commissioners for their being desirous of imposing these con- <br />ditions. <br /> <br />I4essrs Victor Bailey, Ted Lannin, Charles Seymoure, A1 Torre and <br />Larry HcDonald, each spoke in opposition of this development. <br /> <br />Considerable discussion ensued regarding the impact on schools, <br />traffic problems and the effect this development would have on the <br />Se~age Treatment Plant. <br /> <br />There being no further con~nents from the public, it was moved by <br />Councilman Beratlis and seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos that <br />the public hearing be closed. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and <br />NOES: None Mayor Reid <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 2/ 5-17-71 <br /> <br /> <br />
