The roll call vote ~as as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Gerton, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: Councilmen Beratlis and Spiliotopoulos <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Applicati.0n .of First Pleasanton Investors for an amendment to existing <br />PUD applicatlon No. 69-8, said amendment to co~'si~'~"r a variation in the <br />approved Pre. liminary Site Plan for a Townhouse Complex under the RM- <br />2500 District. <br /> <br />Mayor Reid declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br />Mr. Aiello displayed a map of the area and then reviewed his report, <br />dated December 1, 1970. In his report, Mr. Aiello noted that this <br />amendment reduced the Townhouse units from 159 to 112, added tot lots <br />and a cabana complex, and eliminated one of the swimming pools. Mr. <br />Aiello reported that the Planning Commission felt that this amendment <br />was a vast improvement over the applicant's previous submittals and <br />adopted Resolution No. 1049, dated November 24, 1970, recommending <br />approval by the City Council. <br /> <br />Mr. George Oakes, representing the First Pleasanton Investors, pointed <br />out that there was considerably more open space in this PUD and also <br />that it was oriented toward both younger and older people. Mr. Oakes <br />also explained the association membership which would include outside <br />building and grounds maintenance. <br /> <br />The-re being no oral or written public protest, it was moved by Council- <br />man Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that the public <br />hearing be closed. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and <br /> Mayor Rei d <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Councilman Pearson strongly objected to the application on the grounds <br />of increasing density in the valley. Considerable discussion ensued <br />at Council level. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Gerton and seconded by Councilman Beratlis <br />that Resolution No. 71-7, approving an amendment to the existing <br />Planned Unit Development Application No. 69-8 of First Pleasanton <br />Investors and including a variance in the approved preliminary site <br />plan for a Townhouse complex under the RM-2500 District, be adopted. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Gerton, Beratlis, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: Councilman Pearson <br />ABSENT ~ None <br /> <br />APPlicatiOn 0f MaCKaY Hon~es _for final development plan approval o.f.. <br />PUD 69'7~ a patio-house developmen{' p..r0posed to be located 'on 'tH~ "' <br />s~$FFg siSe of H'opya~d Road, east "'of Tra6t No. 3048, and containing <br />approxim~a. tely 16 acres. <br /> <br />Mayor Reid declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br />Mr. Aie!lo displayed a map of the PUD and reviewed his report, dated <br />December 1, 1970.
