Mr. Ronald Pardini, Vice President, Singer Housi~ that rather than the City taking any specific action on ti-lis~ matter, they could work out a reasonable period of time unti.3, .t~i~.e Wai:~.er Management Study and the Zone No. 7 Water Reclamation ~:.~'tudi~;s are completed. Mr. Edgar recited the three alternative actions the C,,>~incii can take on this matter, namely, 1) Place property in a Study ,Di~r~.~.!i,-~t on an emergency basis, 2) schedule a public hearing tc~ r_,~i. ace ~>-.'-"operty in a study district for one year, and 3) Place property in a StuC'ly District for 120 days as Mr. Pardini has agreed to. After some discussion, it was moved by Councilman l~ez.~r,fs,u~ir~ a.~nd seconded by Councilman Gerton 'that public hearing be scheduleCi t.o F,l~a,ce the property in a Study District for one year. Councilman Gerton explained to Mr. Pardini ~,zhy he secended th:ts motion. Mr. Pardini suggested that the time limit be set at June 1, 1972 as a one year period would conflict with the June 15th l. ec~F~] dea,-.~line for action on the $53 million damage suit against V.CJ'-';.D. a:~nd the City of Pleasanton, of which Singer Housing is one of the plaintiffs. Councilman Gerton agreed with Mr. Pardini and withdre~v his second to Councilman Pearson ' s motion. It was then moved by Councilman Pearson and seconded by Councilman Gerton to place Tracts 3311 and 3312 in a Study District for a period of 180 days.
