Mr. Ed Kinney, representing the Community Concerns Committee, reviewed the interim report entitled "Study on Social Services" dated September , 7, 1971. Mayor Reid thanked Mr. Kinney for his report and asked him to convey the Council's appreation to the Community Concerns Committee. Contest to Select City Flower Mr. Larry Billings, representing the- Casa Verde Garden Center, suggested that the City, in conjunction with the Casa Verde Garden Center, con- duct a contest to select an official city flower. Mr. Billings review- ed a proposal for interested contestants. It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Beratlis that the proposal, with modifications, as presented by Mr. Larry Billings, be accepted'.
