Livermore Airport as defined by the Alameda County Airport Use <br />Commission, be adopted. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Gerton, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: Councilmen Beratlis and Spiliotopoulos <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />REPORTS OF BOARDS AND COMMISSIONS <br /> <br />There were no reports from Boards and Commissions. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY MANAGER <br />Report of the City Manager regarding the Ambulance Service Contract" <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar reported that the City Council on April 26, 1971 unamiously <br />approved the recommendations contained in Step No. 1 of the report <br />entitled "Comprehensive Ambulance Service for the Livermore-Amador <br />Valley". He further reported that since that time the staffs of the <br />cities of Livermore and Pleasanton, together with Alameda County and <br />the Valley Memorial Hospital, have been working together in order <br />to develop the appropriate documents related to a joint effect <br />regarding ambulance service for the valley. <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar reviewed the joint powers agreement between the various <br />public agencies, the agreement between the public agencies and the <br />Valley Memorial Hospital, and the agreement between the public <br />agencies and Allen's Ambulance Service. <br /> <br />Mr. Tom McNinch, 1333 Greenwood, organizer of the Pleasanton Vol- <br />unteer Ambulance Group', expressed concern that the contract would <br />hurt their group. Mayor Reid explained that if this city finds it <br />necessary to provide supplementary or volunteer service, it can do <br />so without violating the terms of the contraot. <br /> <br />After some discussion, it was moved by Councilman Beratlis and <br />seconded by Councilman Spiliotopoulos that Resolution No. 71-188' <br />approving the three agreements relating to the provisions within <br />the Livermore-Amador Valley Emergency Ambulance Services, be adopted. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and <br />NOES: None Mayor Reid <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MEETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br />It being 10:oo P.M., Mayor Reid opened the meeting to the public. <br /> <br />Mr. Harry Cecaci initiated discussion on the traffic and parking <br />problem at First and Neals Streets which results'from t. he parallel <br />parking permitted in the vacinity of the Presbyterian Church.
