Setting the public hearing for October 4, 1971 on the appeal <br /> of the Tecton Company from an adverse decision of the Plann- <br /> ing Commission in denying Tentative Map 3346 and Tentative <br /> Development Plan review for PUD-70-2, a residential develop- <br /> ment consisting of multiple and single family units. Said <br /> develpment to be located on property described as Parcel 5-13, <br /> Block 2577, Book 946 of the Alameda County Assessor's Office, <br /> containing approximately 51.8 acres and generally located on <br /> the east side of Sunol Boulevard and north of the Mission Park <br /> de ve 1 opmen t. <br /> <br /> The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and <br />NOES: None Mayor Reid <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> PUBLIC HEARINGS <br /> <br /> Report of the Planning CommisSi..on ..regarding the application to rezone <br />from the R-1-6500 Single Famil~ District to the RM-2500 Multiple Dis- <br />trict that property described as a p. ortion of Parcel 4, Block 60 <br />~l"ameda County Assessor's Map Book ~'4', 'con't'aining approximately ~.3 <br />'~?.cres and more commonly known as a 'portion of the Kottinger Village <br />Housing Complex <br /> <br />Mayor Reid declared the public hearing open. <br /> <br />Mr. Castro reviewed his report, dated August 26, 1971, which recomm- <br />ended approval of the application. He reported that the Planning <br />Commission recommended that the revenue to be obtained from the sale <br />of this property be applied toward the improvement of the proposed <br />Kottinger Park site. <br /> <br />Mr. John Bowling, Executive Manager of the Pleasanton Housing Auth- <br />ority, stated that this is the specific 3.3 acre - 50 unit package <br />for elderly housing that was approved in principle by the City Coun- <br />cil last January. <br /> <br />Mrs. Elizabeth Hall, Pleasanton Housing Authority Commissioner, stat- <br />ed that this is a worthy and satisfying use of this property. <br /> <br />Mr. Ed Kinney, 5493 Greenfield Road, stated that the Community Con- <br />cerns Committee recommends approval of this rezoning. <br /> <br />There being no further remarks from the public, it was moved by <br />Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Gerton that the <br />public hearing be closed. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and <br />NOES: None Mayor Reid <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman <br />Pearson that Ordinance No. 639, rezoning from the R-1-6500 Single <br />Family District to the RM-2500 Multiple District, that property <br />described as a portion of Parcel 4, Block 60, Alameda County Assess- <br />or's Map Book 94, containing approximately 3.3 acres and known as <br />a portion of the Kottinger Village Housing-Complex,-be-introduced.~ <br /> <br />Prior to'calling the roll, Mayor Reid asked Mr. Castro for infor- <br />mation regarding the linking of the Kottinger Linear Park to the. <br />Kottinger Site Park.
