MINUTES of THE MEETING of TttE CITY COUNCIL Pleasanton, California September 13, 1971 CALL TO ORDER- PLEDGE TO FLAG Mayor Robert Reid called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to order at 8:00 P.M. and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. ROLL CALL Patricia Flowers called the roll which is recorded as follows: Council- men Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid were present. Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Camp- bell, Director of Public Works and Mr. Castro, Director of Community Development, were present. Mrs. McCarty, City Clerk, was absent. AGENDA AMENDMENTS Mr. Edgar stated that the City Council minutes for August 30th, 1971 were not included in item 4-b, Consent Calendar, due to the fact that the City Clerk is on vacation. Mr. Edgar also stated that the property owners of Diller-Granada asked that the public hearing on Annexation No. 62, item 5-b, Public Hear- ings, be postponed for 30 days. CONSENT CALENDAR It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman Pearson that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be app rove d. a. Continuance to November 1, 1971 of the approval of Final Map and Improvement Plans for Tract No. 3312, Val Vista, Unit No,'7. b. Approval of the City Council Minutes of August 2nd and 16th, 1971. c. Setting the public hearing for October 4th, 1971 to consider the extension of the appropriate provisions of Ordinance No. 637, Foothill Road Interim Zoning, in order to allow suffici- ent time to process final zoning solution for the property be- for Planning Commission and City Council. d. Waiving the reading of Ordinance No. 638, regarding Vicious Dogs in the City of Pleasanton and the Abatement thereof as a public nuisances, and to consider the adoption of a pro- posed ordinance relating thereto. e. Adoption of Ordinance No. 638 f. Setting the public hearing for October 4th, 1971 on the report of the Planning Commission regarding the application of Mackay Homes to rezone from the Agricultural District to the follow- ing Districts: 187.4+ acres R-1-6500 Single Family, 5.9+ acres RM-1500 Multiple, 30.4+ acres Public and Institutional, and 14.9+ acres Agricultural-Parks. Said property to be the balance of Tract 3165 or more commonly known as the southwest- erly cornor of the Pleasanton Canal and Hopyard Road and con- taining a total of approximately 238.6 acres.
