MINUTES <br /> of <br /> THE MEETING <br /> of <br /> TttE CITY COUNCIL <br /> <br /> Pleasanton, California <br /> September 13, 1971 <br /> <br />CALL TO ORDER- PLEDGE TO FLAG <br /> <br />Mayor Robert Reid called the Regular Meeting of the City Council to <br />order at 8:00 P.M. and then led the pledge of allegiance to the flag. <br /> <br />ROLL CALL <br /> <br />Patricia Flowers called the roll which is recorded as follows: Council- <br />men Beratlis, Gerton, Pearson, Spiliotopoulos and Mayor Reid were <br />present. Mr. Edgar, City Manager, Mr. Hirst, City Attorney, Mr. Camp- <br />bell, Director of Public Works and Mr. Castro, Director of Community <br />Development, were present. Mrs. McCarty, City Clerk, was absent. <br /> <br />AGENDA AMENDMENTS <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar stated that the City Council minutes for August 30th, 1971 <br />were not included in item 4-b, Consent Calendar, due to the fact that <br />the City Clerk is on vacation. <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar also stated that the property owners of Diller-Granada asked <br />that the public hearing on Annexation No. 62, item 5-b, Public Hear- <br />ings, be postponed for 30 days. <br /> <br />CONSENT CALENDAR <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Spiliotopoulos and seconded by Councilman <br />Pearson that the following items listed on the Consent Calendar be <br />app rove d. <br /> <br /> a. Continuance to November 1, 1971 of the approval of Final Map <br /> and Improvement Plans for Tract No. 3312, Val Vista, Unit No,'7. <br /> <br /> b. Approval of the City Council Minutes of August 2nd and 16th, <br /> 1971. <br /> <br /> c. Setting the public hearing for October 4th, 1971 to consider <br /> the extension of the appropriate provisions of Ordinance No. <br /> 637, Foothill Road Interim Zoning, in order to allow suffici- <br /> ent time to process final zoning solution for the property be- <br /> for Planning Commission and City Council. <br /> <br /> d. Waiving the reading of Ordinance No. 638, regarding Vicious <br /> Dogs in the City of Pleasanton and the Abatement thereof as <br /> a public nuisances, and to consider the adoption of a pro- <br /> posed ordinance relating thereto. <br /> <br /> e. Adoption of Ordinance No. 638 <br /> <br /> f. Setting the public hearing for October 4th, 1971 on the report <br /> of the Planning Commission regarding the application of Mackay <br /> Homes to rezone from the Agricultural District to the follow- <br /> ing Districts: 187.4+ acres R-1-6500 Single Family, 5.9+ <br /> acres RM-1500 Multiple, 30.4+ acres Public and Institutional, <br /> and 14.9+ acres Agricultural-Parks. Said property to be the <br /> balance of Tract 3165 or more commonly known as the southwest- <br /> erly cornor of the Pleasanton Canal and Hopyard Road and con- <br /> taining a total of approximately 238.6 acres. <br /> <br /> <br />
