Mr~ Edgar stated that he would like to schedule a public hearing on this <br />matter sometime in mid July. He added that at that hearing' the staff' <br />can bring the City Counicl up to date on the rules under which the Cit~ <br />and Tele-Vue Systems operate. He also indicated that this would give <br />the residents of the City an opportunity to make any complaints regard- <br />ing the service provided by Tele-Vue Systems. -~ <br /> <br />Mayor Reid authorized Mr. Edgar to proceed with this public hearing and <br />Councilman Herlihy suggested that citizens present their complaints in <br />writing. <br /> <br />Report Re: Alameda County Criminal Justice Information S~stem <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar reported that this matter was approved by the Mayors' Confer- <br />ence at their meeting of June 7th, and it is recommended that each City ~" <br />Council endorse the project. Mr. Edgar further explained that-Alameda <br />County is proposing that the County establish a Criminal JustiCe Infor- <br />mation System in order to centralize information on criminals. ' .... <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Pearson and seconded by Councilman Herlihy that <br />the City of Pleasanton endorse the Alameda County Criminal' Justice Infor- <br />mation Servi. ce. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Matters for the Information of the Council <br /> <br />There were no matters forI the information of the Council. <br /> <br />REPORTS OF THE CITY ATTORNEY = ...... <br />Report Re: Ordinance .relatin~ to Park and Recreation Facilit~ "Regulations <br />Mr. Hirst reviewed the changes in this proposed ordinance. ........ <br /> <br />After some discussion, it was moved by Councilman Pearson and. seconded <br />by Councilman Herlihy that Ordinance No. 668, relating to/Park and <br />Recreation Facility Regulations, be introduced. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />Report Re :. Bedroom Tax <br /> <br />Mr. Hirst reviewed the ordinance that would impose a tax or fee, based <br />upon the number of bedrooms in residential dwellings~ <br /> <br />Mr. Hirst recommended that this ordinance be adopted on an urgency basis <br />in order that it can become effective by July 1st, 1972. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Pearson and seconded by Councilman Mori that <br />the reading of Ordinance Noo 666, regarding a bedroom tax, be waived. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br /> 5. 6-12-72 <br /> <br /> <br />
