Mr. Hirst reviewed the proposed ordinance. <br /> <br />Mr. Sooby supplied information regarding the gravel truck traffic passing <br />through Pleasanton. <br /> <br />Mr. J.R. Bravo, representing the gravel companies, stated that the comp- <br />anies were not aware of the fact that the public hearing was scheduled <br />for this date until last Friday and asked that this matter be continued <br />until they have sufficient time to make a presentation. <br /> <br />Messrs. Hal Lollmann and Ralph Mitchell also asked that this public hear- <br />ing be continued. <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar recommended that the public hearing be closed and the Ordin- <br />ance be introduced and time be granted for testimony from the grave1 <br />companies prior to the action taken on this ordinance at the meeting <br />of June 26, 1972. <br /> <br />It was moved by Councilman Herlihy and seconded by Councilman Pearson <br />that the public hearing be closed. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Ried <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />It was then moved by Councilman Pearson and seconded by Councilman Mori <br />that Ordinance No. 667, prohibiting the operation of certain vehicles <br />in excess of certain weights upon certain streets within the City of <br />Pleasanton, be introduced. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />It was moved by Mayor Reid and seconded by Councilman Kinney that time <br />be granted to the gravel industries to allow them to testify prior to <br />the time that final action is taken on Ordinance No 667, on June 26th, <br />1972. <br /> <br />The roll call vote was as follows: <br /> <br />AYES: Councilmen Herlihy, Kinney, Mori, Pearson and Mayor Reid <br />NOES: None <br />ABSENT: None <br /> <br />MATTERS CONTINUED' FOR DECISION <br /> <br />Further consideration Re: Residential develqpment around the V.C.S.D. <br />Sewage Treatment Plant (Final Map 3312) <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar stated that this matter was continued from the meeting of last <br />week at the request of the Singer Housing Company. <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar, after presenting the background on this particular Tract, <br />stated that the main consideration regarding residential development <br />in the close vacinity of a sewage treatment plant, was. the question of <br />order. He added that although the oder problem is not so severe as it <br />was a year ago, he would recommend that this area be placed in ~a Study <br />District and referred to the Planning Commission to be studied. from a <br />land use point of view. <br /> <br /> 3. 6-12-72 <br /> <br /> <br />
