' <br /> <br />Mr. Edgar also stated that for the benefit of the new Councilmen he <br />had fo~arded the policy adopted by the City Council on January 3,1972. <br /> <br />After some discussion on this matter, Mayor Reid asked that this be <br />postponed to June 5th in order to give the new Councilmen the oppor- <br />t~ity to review this policy regarding Private Sewage Disposal Systems. <br /> <br />Matters for the information of the Council <br /> <br />There were no matters presented for the information of the Council. <br />~PORTS OF THE CITY ATTO~JEY <br /> <br />There were no reports from the City Attorney. <br /> <br />CO~UNI CATIONS <br /> <br />There were no comunications presented at this meeting. <br /> <br />CITY COUNCIL CO~ITTEE ~PORTS <br /> <br />Mayor Reid reported that at the Fair Laison Comittee meeting he attend- <br />ed last week, discussion ensued with respect of determining how the <br />City of Pleasanton might recover some of ~e costs to the city that <br />are related to the activities held at the Fairgrounds. Mayor Reid <br />stated that he will report on this matter again shortly. <br /> <br />~TTERS INITIATED BY COUNCIL MEMBERS <br /> <br />Mayor Reid asked the staff for a procedural policy regarding pubIic <br />hearings, reports from citizens, response fron the public, requests <br />to speak during City. Council meetings, ~d ~y other matters, in <br />order to obtain a more structured method of conducting Council Meetings. <br /> <br />Councilman Mori initiated discussion about the possibility of having <br />one scheduled "town meeting" type of Council Meeting on a quarterly <br />basis. Mr. Edgar stated that he would investigate this possibility. <br /> <br />EETING OPEN TO THE PUBLIC <br /> <br />Mr. Hal Lohmann, 5411 Greenfield Way, asked the City Council to oppose <br />Proposition~ No. 9 on the June Primary Ballot, which is a clean air <br />Initiative. He stated that the Governor and the Lt. Governor of <br />California ~d all major organizations have stated their opposition <br />to this proposition. <br /> <br />Mayor Reid asked Mr. Edgar to provide copies of this 'proposition to <br />the Council in order that they' can take action on this on June 5th. <br /> <br />Mr. Bill Moore, 1816 T~glewood Way, asked that the City' Council <br />oppose Measure No. "A'~, concerning the construction of a southern <br /> <br /> 6. 5-22-72 <br /> <br /> <br />
